The thrill is gone.

I had a decent night.

I went to see "The Other Boleyn Girl" with a few of my friends.

(AHH. It's 11:21)

Sadly, it wasn't enough friends. One of them got bored and went into the coffee place next door. The other two whispered into each other's ears. The boy (everyone is remaining nameless) touched the girl's leg a lot. I don't think I need to say anything else.

So, feeling like the largest, most socially awkward third wheel to ever occupy space, I ran to the solace of the warm coffee place. And met my other friend and her friend. We all talked for hours and I had a mango smoothie. I don't know what happened to my other friends.

I don't exactly care. Is that mean? I think I'll justify myself.

If there is one thing you readers need to know about Audrey, this is it. So listen up.

I REFUSE TO BE IGNORED. If you don't want me around, please tell me (nicely, I hope) or at least hint at it. That way neither of us need to be in an awkward situation with your little boy toy making awkward jokes about your sweater and I can go find someone to hang out with who will actually acknowledge my existence and who wants me there. Because with or without you, I'm going to have a good time. I'm not going to waste my evening drowning in loneliness and self pity because I don't have anyone whispering in my ear or caressing my knee. I'm going to go have a mango smoothie and talk to people I've never met and enjoy myself further than a romantic evening. Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with romance. I wish I had it. But if you wanted to have a date, don't go with other people. Go with the person you want to whisper with. Not the friend who has to sit awkwardly by and watch. Because odds are? That friend will leave you for her extremely enticing mango smoothie.

Whew. I've got that off my chest now. Blogging is helping me get my anger out. Hehe. :)

We got snow last night! Only a dusting, but I enjoyed it.
