X-File(s) of the Weekend (and Monday and Tuesday)

How the Ghosts Stole Christmas

Yay: Scully’s loooong rational explanation of fear. “Alright. I’m afraid. But it’s an irrational fear.” The ghosts’ psychoanalysis of M&S was entertaining. At times I was like, “Hmm. They have a point….” And the whole scene where “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” was playing and they were dragging themselves out of the house and blood was everywhere- priceless.
Boo: Mulder’s story in the beginning was a little cheesy and melodramatic, but I suspect that was on purpose. Good episode all around. Not much to complain about.

Monday
Yay: Poor, poor Mulder. “I’m having the best damn day of my life. Zip-a-dee-doo-dah.”
I love how the only thing Scully every notices is the fact that he has a waterbed.
Boo: I didn’t like Pam’s hair. Trivial, I know. But this was a good episode too! Maybe I should be crueler in these reviews…

The Post-Modern Prometheus

Yay: Um, everything? I loved the scene where M&S run into the house while Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves plays in the background. I loved the black-and-white-ness of the episode. I loved the ending. I loved the hand closing the book at the very end as Chris Carter’s name came up in the credits. Stellar episode, Mr. Carter. Hopefully your mytharc won’t suck.
Boo: I couldn’t help but think “This could never, ever happen in real life” a lot, but that’s alright. We were in Comic Book Universe, after all. J

And now for the mytharcs. I didn’t watch the ones I said I would. But I’m going to. I promise. J

Requiem

Yay: Scully’s pregnant! Cuddling in bed, cheek kisses, and a BABY? Best episode ever.
Boo: Mulder got abducted. Teresa still speaks with awkward breathy pauses, just like she did in the pilot. It’s almost charming.

This is Not Happening

Yay: Mulder’s back!
Boo: Mulder’s dead. And Doggett is here. He’s okay. I never liked him much.

DeadAlive

Yay: Mulder is alive. “Anybody miss me?”
Boo: Mulder has scars. Poor, poor Mulder. And Scully crying at the beginning almost made me *sniffle* lose hope.

How the Ghosts Stole Christmas is possibly one of my favorite episodes! So awesome.

I love the whole "Reliving a day" thing in Monday. It's really interesting. And the whole Mulder-running-around-shirtless thing. WHOO!

PMP = LOVE! That dance scene... *sigh*

I love Requiem for its shippy moments, but at the same time it makes me sad 'cause I know Mulder's going to be abducted. :(

I saw TINH and DeadAlive on the night I discovered X-Files. I remember that I stayed up 'til about 2:00 because I wanted to see if this Mulder character whom I knew little about was dead or not. I remember thinking: "What a waste of time when I could have been sleeping! He's dead!" Haha! Oh how my views have changed...

Ok I'm tired so I will just sum up the episodes in one go.

I agree with your reviews. :D

They were excellent episodes and Scully crying always makes me feel bad. Poor Scully. I'm gonna cry just thinking about it...
