Eloquent Realism, or How I Spent My Thursday

I thought that since I'm not doing XF reviews this week, I might as well give you a recap of my day while I'm not doing XF reviews. I thought it might be enjoyable. :)

This morning I got up at an ungodly hour (for me), 6:30, in order to make it to class by 7:30 so that I could pick my book for AP English 3 this summer. Every English class has summer assignments, and this summer I have to read Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut and an American novel of my choice. Well, no one wanted to read a crappy novel (of which there were really none, just long or boring ones), so everyone got there obsenely early. I reached the school at 7:20 and there were TWENTY FIVE people ahead of me in line. And the teacher wasn't going to get there until EIGHT!!! Several people actually broke into the school at SIX FIFTEEN and sat outside the room for AN HOUR AND A HALF. I got the book I wanted. "The House of Mirth" by Edith Wharton. Ten SuperAud points for everyone who guesses why I chose that one.

The rest of my day consisted of stupid standardized testing during which I was stuck staring at a wall for FIVE HOURS OF MY LIFE THAT I WILL NEVER GET BACK. My evening was much better. I got dinner from Chili's and came home, cleaned up a bit, then settled down at eight for my Evening of Good Television. It begins officially at 8:15, however, so I'm far enough behind on my recorded programs that I can skip the commericials. I watched The Office, then Grey's Anatomy, then 30 Rock. I always save Lost and CSI for the weekend.

And that's my day!

Hope the tv watching is good and enjoyable!!!

Yes, five hours SUCKS. No one ever takes that long, though. Our teacher (or babysitter, rather) let us watch Transformers and Monty Python when we were all done.

I missed you on chat because my stupid computer wouldn't load. See you tomorrow, hopefully. :)
